Inexpensive parts build. Pedersoli stock, Bondini NOS barrel, CVA lock, Ted Cash thimbles, nose cap and rear sight, Log cabin shop trigger guard. Not the look I was going for but its ok. Really wanted an old look, not new. Note how the trigger guard is more like a bronze and it is harder than regular brass. Side plate had a name and not liking the bubbles in my erasure job. If anyone has a pedersoli Kentucky side plate I would buy it.

the lock will be your biggest disappointment with your creative build.
You may be right about that. That lock was very difficult to adapt to this setup. This lock does have a bridle and a fly which is unusual for a CVA. I have a new traditions flintlock lock and it does not have either a bridle or fly. Worse comes to worse I will have a spare parts inventory for it. I already bought an NOS frizzen just because.
