I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on a blackberry variation. My wife's side has a big old bramble of blackberries out at the farm that we are free to pillage. The biggest problem I can see with the blackberries would be the amount of seeds. Perhaps using some cheesecloth to wrap them in and bruising them before infusion might help provide a robust flavor while catching most of the seeds. I was thinking along the lines of an orange and blackberry mix with a few sprigs of mint. I am just kind of thinking out loud here I guess. Any thoughts?

Often BlackBerry shrub is a non alcoholic version using vinegar instead of an alcohol product. Although version made with brandy or rum sounds very nice. I use black cherries and brandy to make cherry bounce.

In eastern Europe, think Slovenia, Croatia or Serbia, all manner of fruit or herbs are infused with grappa or vodka. Your mix with blackberries sound pretty good to me , although the mint might be a bit much.
