Does anyone know if the authentic 36 Cal Schneider&Glassick should have an engraved cylinder or a plane cylinder?
 
The way I understand the S&G was made at the start of the war.The factory was turning out colt copies and there was no time to engrave.
 
As desperate as the South was for arms, even roll engraving wasn't used.

Strangely, to me, the brass framed Spiller & Burr pistols often were electroplated in Silver and this requirement was part of the initial contract! :shocked2:
