Unbreech the bbl and pound everything out. There seems to be a hesitancy in unscrewing the breechplug....not only w/ this post but w/ some others. It's just a simple metal screw in stopper.....unless it's a patent breech. Then it possibly might get more complicated....Fred

I'm not as brave as you Fred.
 
I've gone as low as 20grs in my .50 and .54 playing with a small game load before I got a .32, but 30 grs was more accurate in both, so, um, uh, I guess I do? :blah:
 
I had good accuracy with 30g of 3f. The outboard ramrod tip keyholed to the left of the good ball group. Maybe due to the flexion of the rr.

For short range plinking 30g is fine with me, no kidding.

I'm not as brave as you Fred.

It's such a pretty rifle, I'm hoping to never having to remove the barrel from the wood. Is that unreasonable?
