While 3 or 4 Mississippi may be all right for plinking, clearly 4 Michigan is a superior method for those who are true connoisseurs of the fine arts.

Even into the 19th century, deer were still plentiful enough (IE, cheap) that plantation owners fed it to their slaves. Either that or slaves were allowed to own foraging guns more so than history tells us. My anthropology professor never did say who was doing the hunting.
