Hopefully these pictures are positioned correctly. I think I fixed the other ones.

Great poem and song from that time frame. This little snippet throws some light onto the rationale behind keeping a pair of large-bore pistols handy...even in Ireland.

I tried but I couldn’t get a clear photo to show the entire bore. It looks to be in good shape and is consistent throughout. I also think about the history and the stories it could tell.could you show a photo of the bore? because if it were mine I'd give it a good cleaning and fire the thing. Just thinking about the history that might be behind that pistol would make my mind wonder into the past.
The bore looks shootable. Before I made a wall hanger out of I'd have to shoot it a few times.I tried but I couldn’t get a clear photo to show the entire bore. It looks to be in good shape and is consistent throughout. I also think about the history and the stories it could tell.
