It seems like the Pedersoli .44 calls for .435 ball ? their mold with the handles is $200.00 Lee makes a .433 mold $39.00 with handles. anyone have any experience casting for the .44 Le page?
Thanks.

Never had the opportunity to shoot one, but if it's for a patched ball load, i can't see .002 making much difference. And for the price difference, I'd definitely go for it.

hopefully! I cant believe I just pulled the trigger on that thing. It's a LOT of money.... hopefully it will be a bit easier to shoot one handed than the trapper???

I have one in .36 cal, and I guarantee you're going to be happy with yours. And, yes, it will.

I just cast 554 .433 round balls. you get a heck of a lot more balls per pound of lead than with .495 RB. the 7/16th bit is too tight for ball and patch but 1/2" is too loose...

15/32nd was too loose. 29/64th seems like the winner for making loading blocks. I made 4 out of curly maple today. wonder when i will get the pistol back from the warrantee gunsmith? its in MO. in the meantime the first biathlon of the winter is in late january so training with the Trapper.
