I was fooled by a little sunshine and ventured out to look for a coyote. It was up to -5 degrees F when I left the house. I knew I had screwed up when, after a mile hike, I couldn't get the electronic caller to work (too cold). I had coyotes all around, but closest ones winded me and started barking....game over. Hiked back to the truck and it was -20 when I got to the house. Think I'll wait a few more days for this to pass.
