I am looking for some new nipples for my old numrich arms swival breech rifle. Anyone know where i can get them.

If you know the thread size, just order them from Track of The Wolf. If you don't know the size, just send your nipple to TOW and let them match it. I'd get the Ampco bronze nipples. They are much better than steel or stainless steel nipples. TOW's prices are good.

The 1/4-32 thread is a "extra fine" pitch thread.
Although the 1/4-32UNEF thread is a standard, it is rarely found at auto parts or hardware stores so one shouldn't be surprised when they can't find a mating nut to try on it.

About the only other place besides Numrich Arms underhammers where this thread is used in the muzzleloading world is Chambers White Lightning vent liners that are used for flintlocks.

The Numrich underhammers have several barrel wall thicknesses and the correct nipple will depend on which barrel it is screwed into.
When buying a replacement nipple, first measure the wall thickness of the barrel from the outside flat to the bore. The nipples thread length should be the same or slightly less.

Best advice possible. Do this and you will be happy.
