I just discovered that you can legally own Flintlocks, Wheellocks and Matchlocks in Canada and I decided to jump straight in before this embarrassing government ruined it!

I grew up watching and reading stuff like the Sharpe series, Hornblower, ect. So when I figured this out I went and bought myself a Traditions Frontier Rifle Kit from Cabela's and just finished putting it together! Does anyone here have any recommendations on the accessories and equipment that I should buy?

Appropriate to the caliber, ball puller, patch puller, cleaning jag, make yourself a nipple pick, powder measure, short starter and a range rod that the tips will thread into. Save all your old cotton Tshirts to cut into patches, your choice of patch lube (dont get hung up on what brand...that is going to start a loooooonng debate, but in a pinch Crisco will work fine for starts (or spit!). A powder horn makes measuring easier. Oh, better get a dozen spare flints the same size as what your rifle takes. You can order up everything from Track of the Wolf or a number of other dealers. Have fun!
