I am not new to blackpower shooting, but would like to expand a bit and try my hand with a matchlock. I wanted to ask all of your opinions on where I should look for a matchlock. I am looking for a longarm- not a pistol.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Don't know if you're a builder or not, but the rifle shoppe has some really seductive looking "kits" for a reasonable price. Their catalog is also a great reference. :)

Post me Private Topic and I can put you in touch with someone who has some matchlocks for sale. Emery

I built one from the scrap box. It doesnt really follow any style , just what felt good and looked good to my eye  http://www.muzzleloadingforum...fromsearch/1/hl/scrapbox\|matchlock/tp/1/

Welcome! If you are looking for a builder, the one man I recommend the most is John Buck. I have two of his arms with two more on the way. He is a really nice guy to talk to and will go out of his way to build you a Matchlock according to your specifications. His prices are pretty reasonable as well.

Good luck!
