Hi! I'm pretty new to muzzleloaders, but I have a native M/1738 ex army flintlock pistol. Good looking, and works fine. I'm sure there are more pistols and rifles in the future...

Welcome :hatsoff: Looking on the web, that's a very nice pistol. Have you shot it? If so, how does it shoot? Do you plan to acquire other weapons of the same time period, or try other periods and types as well?

Lots of folks here who can answer any of your questions, and we look forward to your input and experiences, too.
Richard

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a pretty interesting pistol there!

I have tested it a few times, yes. Works brilliant (when I aquired some skills anyway). The flash and bang goes way beyond the sharp crack of modern arms! I am officially addicted to flintlocks now. Going to get more of these. A similar rifle is next.

When I figure out where to post the pictures I'll link to them. Thanks for the warm welcome!

There ya go!

Welcome from the missiouri ozarks, about 70 miles north of treestaker. I have to say if you were bit by a flinter bug as your first muzzleloader and loved it, you are now an addict. There is no cure, no 12 step program. just hold on and enjoy the ride, glad your here.

That is a sweet old pistol -- don't believe I ever saw one of those.
Welcome!
