just finished a holster for my 1858 i made it out of some "reclaimed" leather which is why there is that random cut i may try to hide that with something

Dont seem like ther is anything wrong with it looks good from here adds character
 
thanks guys i thought about putting a concho or something on the cut. Dad says he likes the cut because it adds character... that's also what he says when he dings up my guns :haha:. on my next one (which will probably be for a modern gun)i think I'll try using the swivel knife but last time it didn't go so well :redface:
 
I wouldn't do anything to it....it looks antiqued and well worn just as it is (assuming that is what you are trying to get). Just leave it alone.
