We lived in Alamosa, CO for many years. 145F winters and 7,500' elevation was no good for my wife. Now we live in NW Arizona, 500' elevation and 120F summers ... almost zero humidity ... the desert.
Muzzle loading hobby isn't all that expensive but finding No. 11 caps, Musket caps and real black powder is a challenge.
