I acquired a 2 barrel over/under ( manually rotating ) .45 cal. grooved percussion rifle,
the only ID on it, is on the side of the lock, it says warranted.
I also need to locate/have made a new main spring. for it.
If I knew how add pictures I would.

Without a pic it sounds like a numerich arms like my dad had back in the 70's spring broke and he tried a long time to find a replacement.
 
I have the same gun. I could not find a lock spring, so I ordered a spring with similar dimensions from Dixie Gun Works, filed and cut to match the original. It works fine.

This is not a very good lock to begin with, but the gun is serviceable and shoots well.
