Fantastic, thanks a lot. Do you know by any chance how can I look up any military records regarding this serial #?
I'm not sure. I'll look through the book again when I get a chance, but I don't think there is anywhere in it that breaks down which pistols were shipped where, just that this many pistols were shipped to the Govt. on such and such a date.

But I'll look through it and see if it does mention anything else about it.

Beautiful pistol:)

I'll 2nd 'BillinOregans' post. Really nice shape for a 159 year old revolver. Always wonder what those old girls could tell us as far as who carried them, what they experienced, who they may have shot at or shot at them. Be some interesting information.

Kia Ora every one.
I had a go at posting a message before & mucked it up. :(
Here's my Remington. No where as good nick as the one on post. But it's a fine gun.
Enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful day out there.
Kind regards
Nga mihi
Chris
