One of a kind find
Very nice, I'm assuming it's made of silver.
It's gorgeous. How well does it work?
Works perfectly. Made of steel and heat blued. John told me he made the capper when he was learning to engrave. He has built and engraved many firearms. Mostly flintlock and percussion rifles. Yes, John can do many things. Here he is at 79 this summer, carving a CZ stock in my shop.
As they would say in the North East. That is wicked cool!

Beautiful piece of workmanship!
Any man at that age that can still do many things well and enjoys doing them is a lucky (and most likely happy) man indeed.
