I bought a kit very similar if not identical to this
from an add in the back of Field and Stream when I was about13 yrs old. .44 cal smoothbore. Obviously not accurate. I don't think I knew enough to patch my ball? certainly did not know to lube the patch. I recall being able to hit a piece of 8.5 X11 paper at about 10ft with a roundball. Obviously that is what it was intended for but I had much higher expectations. Eventually got bored with shooting inaccurate round balls and used it as a shotgun firing pretty much anything I could stuff in there. A year or so later I got my mitts on an 1851 Navy brasser which was a whole different ballgame
