I got my problem solved with my last post about the musket/#11 nipple. I ordered both musket and #11 nipples and the appropriate caps fit snug like they should (thanks Semisane for the hot link). Track of the Wolf must have some serious fast shipping.

The question: If I want to shoot #11 caps, do I need to replace the original hammer that is designed to shoot musket caps for a hammer that is designed to shoot with a #11 nipple? I was wondering if I shot the #11 caps if it would damage the cup of the musket hammer?

Also if someone could chime in on some suggested powder charges for a Zoauve 58 round ball, it would be much appreciated. I use to have that info but can't find it.

Thanks, Cat9

The same hammer will work for both size nipples. Start with 60 grains and work up.
