I thought about that when a couple of rodents were in the last home and were smarter than the mouse trap. The hole in the wall or floor was the deterrent to using them for needed target practice. (Eventually they were gone).
Used to use wax slugs to shoot flies on the wall with a 36 navy in my old apartment 2 grains ffffg did wonders. 🤯
