Made a little priming/pistol horn

What a great hobby, with so many possibilities to make your own stuff. Picked up the antler piece from my local pet store and carved a dogwood scene on it and topped with a pine wood cap. It’s about 5-1/2 inches long. Should make a perfect little priming/pistol horn.

Did you make the stopper from horn too? Looks nice.

Stopper is a piece of maple I believe, just haven’t decided on a color yet.

Hey! That's my sermon. Yes, absolutely, for me, that is a very important part of preserving history in this crazy avocation. Nice horn and good work.

Thank you all for the compliments. For me it’s also the challenge (problem solving) and satisfaction about making what you need/want from what you have. Like those tiny pins are made from cut “survey flag” wires. There’s a repurpose for just about anything!
