Will FFFg powder tricle out thru the nipple of an underhammer gun? Should one be capped before putting powder down the muzzle, like some shooters do with matchlocks?

Turn the gun sideways, 90degrees. It wil look like a side lock and the powder will not come out?

Note that many under hammer guns do not have a half cock notch. I don't know the specifics of the lock that you're using, but NEVER cap a percussion gun until the last step before firing. I've got several under hammer guns and, like the others have mentioned, there is no problem with leaking of powder. So enjoy your gun.
