Unscrew the top portion of the lock and see if it will move left or right to unhook. If that don't work take all 4 screws out and replace the lock,OR learn how to pick the lock, OR get a key.Have two presentation boxes (one is for Colt) cap n ball pistols. Cannot find anywhere. Any suggestions?

Great idea. Yes, both are locked. One would work with your suggestion. However, lock number two (round one) provides no screws or access to removal. Are they locked now? If so you might try to pick the lock or drill it our. If not buy a fancy has and a pad lock.
lock picks aren't expensive and there's plenty of youtube videos on how to pick locks. it's pretty easy once you get the hang of itAre they locked now? If so you might try to pick the lock or drill it our. If not buy a fancy has and a pad lock.
Nope.Maybe the keys are inside the boxes….
So you found the keys? Or remember putting them in a safe place you seem to have forgotten?Nope.
paper clips would work, good ideaSo you found the keys? Or remember putting them in a safe place you seem to have forgotten?
In all honesty, all you need is a couple pieces of bent wire (aka paper clips) to open these types of locks.
Putting things in safe places has been the bane of my existence. So you found the keys? Or remember putting them in a safe place you seem to have forgotten?
