I had a chance to handle a like new Cook smooth rifle. I fell in love with it and will be making the purchase tomorrow. It is a 20 bore with a Colerain barrel, Davis lock, and single trigger (very crisp and light). There is not a check rest which is fine with me as the piece fits me very well.

I was curious if anyone else has or has had a Cook flinter? Any feedback before I purchase this? I fell in love with the "rifle" the second I picked it up and it is nice and simple like I prefer.

Thanks

It sparks great. Butter smooth with a crisp and light release. I'll post picturesqueness I pick it up tomorrow.
