Scarecrow,

Some day I'd love a nice custom gun but like many working people I have to stick with production guns that get the job done. CVA guns are what I have started with as far as long guns. Pietta revolvers suit me fine and cost less than Umberti or Colt reproductions. When I get my inheiratance I'll go out and get that fancy flinter or pricey revolver. Until then my grin is just as wide when ever I make the poor chap down wind of me at the range cough and swear when I pull the trigger on my $100 muzzleloader.

I didn't pay much more then that for the Kentucky. I found it on this site. I don't so much like a lot of flash when it comes to my guns. For side arms I shoot a Ruger Blackhawk. The CVA was for my wife and the hawkens was from my wife last Christmas. They are humble but they are mine. ::

scarecrow,
Those are nice and traditional, and that is what
counts around these parts. IMHO
snake-eyes

Nuthin to be ashamed of there, nice start. And I say start because they are addictive.

Don't I know it. I spend a lot of time looking for the next toy. But the wife has put a two gun a year cap on me. :shake:
Does anyone know of a country or group of people who run on a shorter year then we do? :hmm:

Yeah I know what you mean, I made the mistake of getting my wife into shooting and now she knows the difference between different models of guns I own and she can spot a new one right off. Dang it. :shake:

I feel for ya. I have a self imposed one gun a year limit. But sometimes I cheat on it. ;-)

I could afford more, but I find I end up with better guns in my collection this way.

Thats for sure. I was home with a cold most of last week. I had to move away from the computer. Too many guns for sale.
