I've outfitted a number of kids with muzzleloaders and it's been very difficult finding youth-sized traditional muzzleloaders. Wouldn't ya know it, I've got a kid that is left-eye dominant! She shoots one of my right-side-lock guns OK, but I thing a gun made for left-handed shooting would be more comfortable.

Problem is, the only gun I know of that might work would be the Lyman deerstalker, but for whatever reason, they only offer the lefthanded version in flint. Why is that?

I've seen a used deerstalker LH caplock a couple years ago so they must have made them at some point. Even that would be pushing it as I think it is a tad heavy.

Maybe you want to check out Jim Chambers' for a kit. He has Early Yorks and even some smaller rifles in kits. I don't know what your budget is or what length of pull is desired.
