Welcome to Alabama! I'm in Huntsville. If you are interested in shooting Civil War-era black powder firearms, you should check out the North-South Skirmish Association. All of our skirmishes but one are held at Brierfield Ironworks State park, which is 1.5 hours from you (just south of Birmgham). We typically shoot in February, March, April, June, August, and the last shoot of the near is in November in Eva, TN.

We have a skirmish coming up in less than 2 weeks - the last skirmish of the year at Brierfield. It is the weekend of August 25-27. You should stop by and say "hi" and see what it's all about!

We shoot smoothbore muskets, rifled muskets, carbines, revolvers, single-shot pistols, and repeaters. Of course, you only need one gun to participate.
