I responded to this thread back in the summer. Since then I’ve acquired my Jaeger flintlock- and organized a bag for it. The contents are different than I described back then. The shooting bag is for managing the rifle. Here’s a pic:

Like other folks here, I carry a cellphone. I usually have my haversack made of oilcloth. In it I carry whatever plunder I decide I need. This might be a snack, water, game camera, gloves, or whatever.
Great assemblage.
 
I only carry what I need a good knife usually a hunting bag and powder horn. But as of late just a few balls / patches in the patch box and some powder vials in my right pocket..these hills are hard enough to hike lol.
