I would clean the ball and glue it under the bucks head mount for a memento of what the Buck was taken with.
I shot a 11 point but he had broken off the tines so much I did not save the rack.
Still he was very tasty.
 
Thanks fellers for all the nice comments. I killed my very first deer many years ago using a T/C Hawken .50, PRB and with my aging health this buck might be my last, but if it is, what a way go out! :v Mike
