TOTW, and others, have them listed as American-made "Skinner Knife" in two sizes. They don't specify the maker but would probably tell you if you called.
 
Looks a lot like the knives commonly sold almost everywhere. The blades have been etched to sorta look like damascus or forged. Not bad knives but certainly not antique or high value. In your case, keepsakes. Enjoy.
 
They look like they're from a maker that sets up down at Friendship every year. He is always located to the right of the main entrance before you get to the sheep sheds. I believe the initials he stamps on his blades are "MC". :idunno: If your father ever went to Friendship, I imagine that's where he got them. Sorry for your loss.
 
Those are not Deans. His touch mark is a canoe. The touch mark on these is MP I think. I've one. You can get them at most rendezvous.
