Howdy boys!

Taken a break from the hunting, its been goooood!

Have a quick question. What size flash cup fits a GPR nipple? I see track has 1/4" and 6mm. Since this is italian, would the 6mm be the one to go with?

Thanks alot.

Man, im gonna have a lot of reading to do on here to get caught up!

Watch your top knot!

What is a flash cup for?

It is so that the women you flash won't hurt you when they kick you there. :blah:

Seriously, as I understand it, they are brass cups that go under the nipple to protect the stock and barrel from the primer flash.

And if you set them up facing toward you they amplify the noise from the cap. I was just bustin' a cap; no charge aboard, and it made my ears ring, I'll tell you. I quit using them.

The flash cup helps keep things cleaner around the nipple and also prevents burns on the wood on some models. I wish I knew about them back in the '70's when I got my Corsair pistol. The blowback burned the wood at the tang really bad.

If you get one of these cups, consider filing a lot of the forward area away leaving some of the lower cup, the bottom and a rear "fence" like the fence on a flintlock.
This will protect the wood and keep cap fragments from being blown back towards you when the gun fires.
It also makes the nipple more accessible for capping it.

zonie :)
