A few weeks ago I took my 50 Cal Pedersoli Frontier flintlock to the woods. I was sitting in front of a big oak tree for a few hours that were mixed with rain and snow; At 9:15 3 doe came out at about 50 yards from me, so I put my sights on the biggest one and squeezed the trigger.
She went about 40 yards and dropped. I've harvested many deer, but this one was really special.

I got this rifle at our muzzleloading club's Auction last winter for $75.00 It was a Percussion rifle, but I converted it to a flintlock with an L&R Lock. I didn't want RC to find out I got another caplock.

Now its time to get one with one with my flintlock smoothbore trade gun. That should be Icing on the cake.

I cant seem to get my pictures on here. I will keep trying, never had a problem before.

Congratulations, and welcome to the dark side.

I don't know about other people, but my first flintlock deer was special, one of those memories which I always enjoy looking back on.

here ya go dan! grats!

Congratulations on your first with a flintlock, no doubt, one of many to come. You may want to reconsider your hunting apparel. From what I have read, blue is the only color deer can see. Keep yer powder dry........robin :hmm:

Im thinking maybe he had on the bright orange coat in the back ground (matchin his cap) hiding the blue from the deer.

A nice day in the woods!

Way to go Dan. I bet you get many more in the years to come. I haven't done much shooting the last year. Health issues got in the way.
