Hi guys

I turned 16 a few days ago and just got my hunting license here in florida. I already got my first kill with a flintlock. It's an indian made 1777 charleville shooting patched .65 roundballs i casted myself.

I was walking down a trail on this public land in the evening, maybe around 4 pm when I saw 4 or 5 little piglets crossing the trail. I kneeled and when one of em turned broadside I squeezed the trigger at about 40 yards. Hit it in the brain. Now that I look back I probably should have waited to see if mama pig would come out but im still happy.
You did a great job, young man. You'll get the mama pig next time.

Congratulations and well done, young man! Nothing wrong with that piglet, they make excellent tacos.

Nice little pig for the grill. He'll be good eating. The thing about hunting is that you can go again tomorrow and try for "mom".
