Thanks guys for the help getting my Lyman Trade rifle shooting great. I went for a walk late this afternoon and saw a few Deer standing in a bit of an opening in the trees. I picked a nice looking doe and took the shot. She flipped end for end and was down for good. The .530 ball went through above the front shoulder breaking her spine. She is a smaller doe, but they are all trophies to be remembered. Thanks again for helping me to be confident enough for taking the shot, and making such a clean kill. Now I can work on helping my Daughter get her first Deer and my wife fill her tag too.

Where are you in Manitoba? I'm down here in the US just south of Winnepeg.

I am in Souris about 2 1/2 hours west and a bit south of Winnipeg. Almost strait north of the International peace gardens.

Yup, nice country up there, I need to explore more of Canada one of these days it gets pretty wild real quick as you go north, lots of outdoorsy stuff to do.
