I have been making these from .018” ticking material. These are far superior to just any ol patch because of the shape!

I have no curiosity as to how another patches their balls…for the curious and the record:
My balls won’t be patched in daisies, pansies or tulips or any of those plastic cups with the funny French name that nobody says correctly.

I use them too, if I am not using paper cartridges in my Charleville.

The daisy cut patches fold nicely around the ball and make it easier to ram them home.

the bevel bros. reviewed them in the same article where they compared cut at the muzzle and precut and found no significant difference in accuracy

They work fine,used the lubed ones

IF, I'm not cutting at the Muzzle I can prep and lube 50 square patches with width equal to the circumference of the ball in less than 15 minutes. I proved to myself with comparisons that they shoot exactly the same as cut at the Muzzle and round patches.

Not trying to persuade anyone on the matter. Just what I've figured out over time.

I cut & lube my own from cotton cloth, just cut 'em square and they shoot just fine.

It's one of many gimmicks that come and go. If enough shooters like them they will remain on the market. It's not a re invention of the wheel, just a different shaped wheel. No reason they shouldn't work as well as any other pre cut patch but if there's a revolutionary improvement I'm not seeing it.
