Hello everyone, recently picked up a cabelas sporterized hawken .54 cal with the short barrel and odd twist rate of 1:24. I was looking through some old threads looking for what conical mold I should buy to cast my own. Anyone had any luck with the Lee REALs? Or other molds with that oddball twist rate.

It should work fine with just about any bullet in caliber. Twist rates are not that critical as long as they are not fast enough to keep the bullet from rolling over.

I made a mold for my 54 1:26” twist.
2 bore diameters long - solid is just under 600gr.
I’ve hunted whitetail with the HP - dropped a nice 9pt at 90yds.
I shoot 85gr Swiss 2F
I also had Accurate Molds duplicate it for a friend.
Should be No problem with your 1:24 twist.
Good luck
