Here is a new toy I just finished. A soda Can mortar based on a 12 pound confederate mortar. about 1/2 scale. The tube is machined from 1018 steel.

Looks good. :thumbsup: Check a tennis ball and see if it fits the bore. If it does you could cut a slit in it and fill with plaster of pari, dental stone, or concrete to up the accuracy a bit.
 
The powder chamber will hold about 300 grs of powder. I have heard people getting over 300 yards if the projectile holds up. I'll give you a range report as soon as possable.
