will a wheelweight/purelead alloy cast a larger or smaller size ball then a pure lead melt using the same heat and mold?

I have a lee mold that casts a slighty oversized slug (.003) for my creedmore rifle I wonder if a alloy would negate that? I load with a small mallet anyway.

sorry about the double post my fingers got ahead of my brain.

Pure lead shrinks more than alloys, so the ball would be a coupla thousanths larger, and slightly lighter, due to the lighter weight of the alloy.

I cast balls for my smoothbore of alloy because I couldn't find a .720 mould. Balls cast of alloy in a Lyman .715 mould mic .718.
