Can I peen 'enough metal....tang?

My browning came out great!.....Well, except for that part on the lock and toe plate. I missed just 2 area's in between the pan....so I thought I could be "very careful" and dab some LM in there. (Same kinda thing on the toeplate.

Well.....the LM ran onto the plate.....so then I gave a total swipe to the plate. What I got was a darker plate....with the darker "run"!!

Lesson learned. I just re-did the toe plate and the lock plate.

Everything except the barrel is 99% and all "in the white." The screws in the pics are not the correct ones. I just wanted to see the brass on it. Oh....."Where's Spot?" is my current novel that I'm on. It's thick....will take a lot of time! From these pics....how about a few critiques? No flames will be made on any criticism!!
