That's a hewing hatchet not a camp axe but you did a very nice job cleaning it up.

You’re right Mark, my mistake. But I was thinking more of using it for chickens and general duties than using it to clean up beams. Thats why I put the axe style handle on and thought itd be handy around the camp.

it could be used for all those chores I have one just like it only with a shorter haft/handle. I also have a standard hewing axe that is huge by comparison.
