Authentic reproduction British pattern hatchet handmade by master blacksmith Jeff Miller of Maine (I.M. makers mark). Axe head body is forged wrought iron with a steel cutting. The ash handle has some wear on the side opposite the maker’s mark. Included is veg tanned sheath/shoulder carrier.

1 lb. head. Total weight 1.5 lbs.

Length of head – just over 5”, cutting edge of just over 2.5”

Ash handle total length is 16.5”

Price is $150 plus $10 shipping CONUS. Check, money order, or Paypal (add $4 for Paypal service fee).

That's not a modern handle... That's a hand split piece of ash that was shaped to form by period correct tools as are all of Jeff Miller's pieces. Look closely and you'll see there is no bend in the handle as in a modern axe shaft....
 
That’s a beautiful little hatchet. Pretty cool to get a hand forged authentic reproduction for less than the cost of a Gransfors Bruk hatchet.
 
Sorry, folks. Hadn't logged in for quite a while. I was a little miffed at the rude (and frankly, ignorant) comment made on my post so I forgot about it. At this point, I've decided I'm not selling.
