Does anybody know of a place to get parts for a Lyman Trade rifle lock. My gun fell over and the trigger bar or sear broke. Of course its 2 days before season opens. :(

About an hour or so. Thinking of just trading for a cva just to be able to hunt. They dont have parts for it.

Did you remove the lock and look for the broken part, or are you just guessing that something broke?

What is the broken gun doing that makes you say it broke?

I'm not asking to make your claim look foolish but the locks on these guns are pretty robust.
It's hard to break them and it's possible that something just got knocked out of alignment.

The sear is broken where it engages the full cock notch. It didnt break off completly, but it is cracked. I never would ha :shocked2: ve thought that it would have broken that easy myself.

Don't even consider ordering Lyman parts that are on back order. 6 months ago I ordered a front sight, backordered thru Track of the Wolf. Apparently when Intertrade put my part in the bottle, or fastened it to the row boat, the tide was going the wrong way. I may well be dead of old age B4 that sight arrives.

Google up RMC Sports and look on their online catalog. They have alot of Lyman parts and there is a good chance they will have it. The vent liner I ordered was here the next day.

Just went to RMC online catalog and they have a drawing of all the lock parts for a Lyman. I am not sure what your looking for but I bet they have it. Look under black powder repair part.

Well probably too late to do you any good for hunting season.
But if my supplier has them in stock then yes I can get you one.
Approx $13 plus freight . I would guess about $12 freight all total.
But I need confirmation of make, model, serial #, left hand or right hand and cap or flint?
If you still need it, PM me and I will get info from you there. and my address.
............................
PS: I have access to a lot of parts (not everything) barrels, locks trigger assemblies etc.
I can't always be cheaper than the established big boys, But I try.
I also cast bullets (RB and conical) in various sizes. Have ram rod tips and jags in stock.
holsters, belt bags, flasks measures belts with buckles, you finish etc.
Just a small guy here, with a small shop as forced into early retirement.
Ask me what you need in a PM and I will tell you if I have or can get and an estimated price.
