Was in a gun shop this morning and seen a pistol. Brass barrel flint lock, (un-able to post pics. computer dummy on that) the gun appears in good shape. lock works well solid cock on half and full cock, frizzen sits well on pan for a gun this old, probably about a 6 lb. pull on trigger, cock releases well (did not check for spark) but gun appears to have been fired recently, clean no damage to gun except a few small what appears to be cracks on the muzzle end of the gun stock they look as it would not affect the gun and should be fine with light loads. Overall, pretty solid piece. Bore light showed clean breech and no damages to bore, Pierced side plate no wood shrinkage on in-letting of parts. All screws and barrel pins appear original the screw head slots are crisp and not damaged I would say it is a coat pistol as there are no sights app. 8 in barrel marked Bristol on top of barrel near breech end proof marks on left side of barrel of crossed sabers with a crown over them x 2, Brass lock plate marked T INMAN- tag attached to gun has Thomas Inman 1775 Bristol England 63 bore Also denotes rammer is not original to the pistol. Anyone have information on maker thinking of buying the gun. I could e-mail pics to someone if they could post them here. Thanks.
