Haven't posted on MLF in quite a while, but I figured this would be a good way to start back up!

Got the later shift for today, so I decided to go out and see what I could find. Made it out late, around 0615 and after light, so I wasn't expecting much. Busted twice by two sets of does, I was about to call it quits and head home. I looked over, and this guy was sniffing around where the does were, about 45m out. He was squarely facing me when he raised his head, and took the ball centered to the base of the throat. He made it about 30-40m before he dropped. Estimate around 55-60lbs of meat.

Rifle is a .50 T/C Renegade. The revolver is a Pietta .44 '51 Navy I cut down into a "snake charmer" belly gun, loaded w/3 chambers of Shot, and 2 of ball. Lots of slithery friends out still out there despite the cooler temperatures.
