At this time, I would leave your "blow out" vent alone unless you start seeing some performance issues. You might want a vent pick sized for your vent to clear fouling from the flash channel if you wipe between shots.

The hammer and cap debris will seal the bore pretty effectively. Those best quality gun makers were trying to anticipate a failure to fire. I doubt that a reasonable load would generate an over pressure condition in the bore.
