Bill Large Barrel

does anyone know if Bill Large made barrels that weren’t marked ?
i have a mule ear side hammer That I bought in the 80s and was told it’s a Bill Large Barrell. But no markings are shown. I haven’t taken the barrel out so it’s possible that the builder turned the name down, any thoughts

I’ve never heard of an unmarked Bill Large barrel.

Barrels are usually marked on bottom.

Bill Large barrels are usually breeched so the Wm Large stamp is on the angled flat on the sideplate side of the barrel. He expected people to show off his barrels.

Every one (the few) that I have seen and the one I have are marked that way though his stamp changed over the years. I show off my barrel when I can.
