Yes Mr Fish it is a bit pricey. The very best products usually are! But it does work. I have done simple none technical tests on most products available over here and ACF 50 beats them all.
I dont quite understand "dissolving salt" but I do read that bikers claim one application to the vulnerable bits on a bike will keep the rust and corrosion away all winter and that's some claim the amount of salt they lay on our roads.
As I have said an application of ACF makes de greasing a gun barrel very difficult when rust bluing
