I was on the rifle Team at my high school. The varsity started the teaching the new shooters. I found Girls had way less bad habits that needed to be broke and listened better. So the really had a head start on someone that had been shooting cans for a few years.

Having taught Hunter Ed in Montana for 10 years, I always found those girls who took the classes and were really interested (not just doing it because Dad made them) really good shooters in all events ! AND When we had "shooting day" and Mom's were out there too Id get them involved shooting too ! id use the excuse "hey firearms are in the home so you need to know some basics too !"
Here are my wife and daughter shooting at an event in Montana. !
