Hello, does anyone know if an ASP (Hawes import) 1851 barrel will fit a Pietta?

Ok, it’s for sale at a good price. I’m wanting one to cut down to a 5” or shorter and don’t want to pay the price they’re asking for the Pietta
Go for it but done be p***** off if it doesn’t work. You can resell it if it is a flop.
I forgot about a detail. If I shorten it, I won’t be able to use the loading lever. And if I do want to put one on, I’ll have to buy it extra plus fit a retainer and front sight. I decided not to go that way. I’ve done it before but those days are gone. I’ll just buy a short barrel with the whole enchilada and be done.
