My wife's grandfather gave this to me. I have no idea the make or caliber. I'm thinking of getting a bore gauge from Track of the Wolf to check caliber. It has a bullet mold with it, a possibles bag, etc. Any idea from you all what it could be? Papa remembers it coming from his father.

It looks like a pretty small, maybe .32 or .36 caliber. And the rifle looks to be antique and in pretty good condition. Is there any writing on the top of the barrel?

Also, how bout pictures of the other side of the rifle showing the lock and tang area?

You should be able to get a decent measurement from the mold. Open the mold and measure it at the widest point.
